As an Automotive Technician, you'll diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to ensure safety and functionality using specialized tools. You'll perform preventative maintenance and inspections on brakes, fuel systems, engines, mentor apprentices, and maintain a safe work environment.
What Drives Your Day-to-Day?
- Efficiently repair and maintain vehicles according to OEM standards.
- Collaborate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs and customer communication.
- Conduct multi-point inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Document work according to OEM standards.
- Maintain technician tools inventory and stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
- Provide an exceptional repair experience to build customer loyalty.
Must-Haves:
- Strong knowledge across various vehicle makes and models.
- Provincial Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (completed or in progress).
- Red Seal Certification is an asset.
- Relevant post-secondary education or training.
- Professionalism, strong work ethic, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and work individually or in a team.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
