Position Overview
Join North American Construction Group (NACG) as an experienced Journeyperson Automotive Mechanic at our Fort McMurray Town Shop. Enjoy comprehensive benefits including a competitive hourly wage up to $62.70, living out allowance, pension, health and wellness benefits, dental, disability, and a $225 annual boot allowance. This role offers a 14x14 day shift schedule, overtime pay, and a unionized environment with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance and servicing of all light vehicles
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automotive issues
- Perform overhauls and ensure manufacturer specifications are met
- Develop repair schedules and order necessary parts
- Assist and lead team operations, including mentoring apprentices
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 license and Journeyperson Automotive certification
- Strong experience with Ford, GM, Dodge vehicles and diagnostic systems
- Safety training and ability to work independently or within a team
- Previous mining experience is a plus
