Join our team today! As a family-owned business that began right here in Port Hawkesbury, N.S., the members of the Seaboard Tire team work together as a unit dedicated to providing the community with a first-class option for all vehicle maintenance needs. We are currently hiring a Licensed Mechanic based in Port Hawkesbury, N.S.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Responsibilities
- Work in accordance with all safety procedures, standards and regulations.
- Communicate with and advise customers on work required.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
- Perform wheel alignments as a primary responsibility.
- Review work orders and discuss work with the supervisor and customers.
- Road test vehicles.
- Perform maintenance tasks and maintain a clean work area.
- Perform annual motor vehicle inspections.
Requirements
- Motor Vehicle Repairer / Service Station Mechanic trade certification.
- Driver's License required.
- Ability and willingness to learn and perform wheel alignments; training will be provided.
- Exceptional mechanical knowledge.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Additional assets include knowledge of engine diagnostics.
