We are hiring a Yard Attendant to join the Nissan Saint-Jérôme team. Located in Saint-Jérôme, QC, this role is essential for providing a smooth and secure customer experience while supporting the dealership's daily operations.
Job Description The Yard Attendant ensures the reception, guidance, and movement of customers and visitors on the site. He/she oversees the cleanliness and order of outdoor spaces (yard) and works closely with the Sales, Service, and Payroll teams to optimize operational flow and safety. By receiving customers and directing them to the appropriate services, he/she helps create a professional and welcoming first impression.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers and visitors and direct them to the relevant departments.
- Manage the yard: control parking areas, guide vehicles, and ensure safe circulation in deposit and test drive areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness, order, and safety of outdoor spaces and ensure proper signage in sensitive zones.
- Support internal teams during test drives, internal deliveries, and vehicle movements on the site.
- Perform light operational and administrative tasks (taking messages, recording relevant information, coordinating with supervisors).
- Report promptly any incidents, anomalies, or maintenance needs to ensure a safe and attractive environment.
- Work discreetly and professionally, respecting brand standards and internal procedures.
Requirements and Desired Qualities
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or similar operational role.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong service mentality, bilingual (French essential; English an asset).
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform outdoor tasks in variable weather conditions.
- Team spirit, good organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license; availability to work as needed on the site.
