This role is pivotal in optimizing manufacturing processes, performing feasibility studies, and applying Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure efficient and safe production. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to manage tooling, implement process improvements, and support new product development using advanced CAD modeling and manufacturing methodologies. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in high-volume manufacturing and strong problem-solving skills with experience in quality management and automation.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Enhancing plant process flow through manufacturing engineering principles
- Leading feasibility studies and machine specifications
- Engaging in APQP, PFMEA, and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Implementing corrective actions and process changes
- Using SolidWorks for tooling drawings and collaborating with maintenance for troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing
- Engineering education (Mechanical or Manufacturing)
- Proficient in CAD software, ERP systems, and quality management systems
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methods
- Knowledge in automation and metal forming is a plus
