Materials Analyst – Automotive

Join a leading company as a Materials Analyst with expertise in complex supply chains and inventory control systems. You'll support production scheduling in press shop and assembly, optimize supply chains, manage inventories, and find cost-reduction opportunities while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and superior delivery standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule production on time
  • Analyze and forecast material needs based on production and business demands
  • Review and suggest inventory level adjustments
  • Analyze excess and obsolete inventory to minimize scrap
  • Conduct regular inventory audits
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely material orders
  • Build supplier relationships and negotiate terms
  • Monitor material management KPIs
  • Use software to manage material data
  • Implement MRP process improvements
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management
  • Participate in team problem-solving and process improvements
  • Prepare for physical inventory readiness
  • Ensure compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in Automotive Manufacturing Supply Chain Management
  • Training/licenses related to Lean Manufacturing, APICS, CPIM, & USMCA
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP (SAP important)
  • Strong data interpretation and analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
