Job description
ACX Autolux, based in Montreal, Quebec, is a recognized player in automotive bodywork and finishing, offering quality service to its local and regional clientele. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a passionate and meticulous painter to join our workshop.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces (degreasing, sanding, masking) and ensure a clean base for finishing.
- Apply coats of paint and varnish in accordance with technical sheets and color nuances.
- Adjust and maintain painting equipment and booths according to current protocols.
- Check the quality of finishes and make necessary touch-ups to meet standards.
- Work closely with bodywork and quality control teams.
- Follow safety procedures, environmental rules, and keep the workspace clean and organized.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement of painting processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive painting or in a similar workshop.
- Good knowledge of surface preparation and finishing processes.
- Ability to read technical sheets and color codes; accuracy in shades.
- Skill in detailed work, attention to detail and quality concerns.
- Good team spirit, effective communication, and ability to work under pressure.
- Adaptability, rigor, and organizational skills.
