Position type: Senior Parts Clerk / Parts Director
Parts Director – Senior Clerk
Longueuil Nissan, a Nissan reference on the South Shore and in the Montréal region, is seeking a Senior Clerk capable of evolving into the role of Parts Director to strengthen its parts department team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a role related to automotive parts and demonstrates natural leadership, exemplary customer service, and a strong analytical ability.
Job purpose Ensure the smooth operation of the parts department, guarantee the availability of the parts necessary to satisfy customers, and optimize inventory and procurement processes to support sales and service activities.
Main responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the parts department, including stock control, orders, receipts, and returns.
- Coach, train and develop the parts team to ensure fast, high-quality customer service.
- Plan and optimize Nissan parts inventory, analyze stock levels, stockouts and turnover.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales and Service departments to ensure parts availability and customer satisfaction.
- Manage suppliers and orders, monitor delivery times, and resolve any disputes that may arise.
- Establish and monitor performance indicators (service level, stock turnover, inventory accuracy, order cycle time).
- Ensure compliance with Nissan procedures and the quality of customer service.
Required qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a role related to automotive parts or in team management (parts counter, parts management, Parts Director, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of inventory processes and parts management systems (DMS or equivalents).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritize tasks.
- Fluent in French; English is an asset.
- Relevant education (DEP/DEC or equivalent) or equivalent experience in the field.
