Parts Director – Mont-Royal Chevrolet GMC Buick Cadillac Job Description Reporting to general management, the Parts Director is responsible for the overall management of the parts department to ensure efficient and profitable service, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and excellent collaboration with the service and sales departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock control.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the department's profitability.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the counter and warehouse team.
- Ensure rigorous tracking of sales and performance objectives.
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal customers (service/sales) and external customers (retail customers, independent repair shops).
- Negotiate with suppliers and ensure compliance with GM policies.
- Prepare and analyze the department's management reports.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in an automotive parts management role (ideally in a dealership).
- Strong team management and customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of parts management systems and computer tools/software.
- Strong organizational skills, rigor, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Positive, results-oriented leadership.
- Knowledge of the SERTI system (an asset).
