Quality Engineer - 6-Month Contract Opportunity in Orangeville, Ontario
Join a leading automotive parts manufacturer as a Quality Engineer for a 6-month contract. This role is perfect for candidates who thrive in a hands-on quality environment and wish to deepen their automotive industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve Quality Management System (QMS)
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers
- Analyze quality data to drive improvements
- Support new product introduction and engineering changes
- Conduct audits and monitor quality KPIs
- Support supplier quality and implement measurement systems
- Review engineering drawings aligning with GD&T requirements
Candidate Requirements:
- 1-2 years manufacturing quality experience (internships/co-ops count)
- Knowledge of quality systems, process development, and policy
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of Control Plans, FMEA, GD&T, MSA, calibration, and proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with 2D/3D CAD drawings
