Job Description

Repentigny Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette, a member of Tremblay Auto Groupe, is seeking a Director of Sales to lead our sales team and achieve our ambitious objectives within our modern, customer-service-oriented dealership located in Repentigny, Quebec.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the sales strategy for new Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles, in alignment with the group’s objectives and customer expectations.
  • Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to exceed monthly and annual targets while ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • Develop business action plans, monitor performance indicators and prepare forecasts and budgets for the division.
  • Oversee vehicle presentation, test drives and promotional activities, and ensure optimal management of the showroom and window displays.
  • Collaborate closely with the service, parts and financing departments to optimize the customer journey and maximize profitability.
  • Implement ongoing training, professional development and coaching programs for the sales team.
  • Manage recruitment, performance evaluations and career plans to maintain a high-performing and engaged team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand image standards and sales processes in line with local regulations.
  • Produce regular reports to management and propose improvement initiatives based on data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience demonstrating sales leadership capabilities, ideally in the automotive industry.
  • Strong experience in team management, strategic planning and budgeting, with a keen customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills; results-oriented and able to motivate a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and reporting software; ability to analyze data and make operational decisions.
  • Bilingual French-English preferred; in-depth knowledge of the Quebec market and dealership sales practices.
  • Relevant degree in administration, marketing or related field preferred, but practical experience takes precedence.
