Job Description We are seeking a Director of Sales – Used Vehicles to join our Trois-Rivières Toyota dealership, located in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. You will lead the team dedicated to the sale of used vehicles and aim to provide an exceptional customer experience while achieving and exceeding business goals.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the sales strategy for the used-vehicle sector, in collaboration with management.
- Coach, train and oversee the team of salespeople and supervisors specialized in used vehicles to optimize performance.
- Monitor key indicators (sales volume, gross margin, conversion rate, inventory turnover, customer satisfaction) and report results to management.
- Manage the trade-in, financing and insurance process in coordination with the relevant departments; propose competitive and profitable offers.
- Collaborate with the after-sales, marketing and parts departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and foster loyalty.
- Oversee the used-vehicle inventory: evaluation, pricing, in-store and showroom presentation, rotation and regular reevaluation.
- Develop the client portfolio, prospect and generate opportunities for cross-selling (financial services, warranties, accessories).
- Ensure compliance with Toyota standards and local and ethical regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior sales role or in team management within a car dealership, ideally in used vehicles.
- Solid knowledge of automotive sales processes, financing, trade-ins and insurance.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Results-oriented, team spirit and ability to analyze and make decisions.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and dealership management systems; knowledge of compliance practices and Toyota standards.
- Bilingual French/English preferred; ability to work with a local clientele and a local team.
