Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor / Supervisor and Technical Advisor (customer service) for an automotive company based in Lanaudière, Quebec. This key position ensures the operational management of the workshop, coordinates technicians, and provides top-level customer service. The ideal candidate combines leadership, technical skills, and a customer service mindset to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily workshop operations: task planning, assignment distribution, deadline monitoring, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Lead and develop a team of technicians, organize training sessions, and evaluate performance.
  • Act as a Technical Advisor to clients: understand needs, diagnose issues, explain solutions, prepare and present quotes, and follow up until delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Parts, and Quality departments to ensure part availability and quick resolution of issues.
  • Optimize workflow by managing resources (tools, parts, labor) and prioritizing interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Document interventions, produce reports, and ensure traceability of technical records.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and optimization of workshop and customer service processes.

Profile

  • Minimum experience: 1 year in a similar role in a mechanical/automotive workshop or production environment.
  • Relevant technical diploma (DEP in automotive mechanics, electromechanics, bodywork, or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent customer relations skills, clear communication, organizational ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership, ability to lead a team, delegate, and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with computer tools and workshop/ERP software; fluency in French, English is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and propose viable solutions.
  • Valid driver's license and availability as needed for the position.
