Main responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise workshop activities to ensure optimal productivity;
- Fairly allocate work among technicians according to their skills and workload;
- Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure deadlines are met;
- Provide technical support to technicians when required;
- Maintain a high level of repair quality and minimize return visits;
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and warranty procedures;
- Collaborate closely with technical advisors to ensure effective communication with clients;
- Participate in resolving complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction;
- Conduct road tests to validate repair quality;
- Track departmental performance indicators;
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of technicians;
- Promote a positive work environment and team spirit within the department;
- Ensure ongoing training for team members;
- Manage specialized tools and workshop equipment;
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment compliant with established standards;
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by management.
Job requirements:
- Relevant experience in automotive mechanics;
- Experience in supervision or team coordination (a significant asset);
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
- Mobilizing leadership and teamwork skills;
- Focus on work quality and customer service;
- Good communication skills;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Knowledge of manufacturer warranty procedures (an asset).
