Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Workshop Foreman who wishes to build a solid career in the automotive industry. This person ensures that repairs are carried out correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians. They also ensure that after-sales service maintains a high level of customer satisfaction at all times. Main tasks:

Understand the terms of warranties and manufacturer policies and ensure compliance; Ensure that all repairs are fairly and equally assigned to technicians; Provide technical support to technicians as needed; Ensure that repairs are properly billed; Monitor the progress of each repair throughout the day; Maintain high-quality repair service and minimize returns to the workshop; Conduct intermittent inspections of completed work to control rigor and quality; Perform road tests on vehicles to verify the quality of the work performed; Participate in handling customer complaints in collaboration with their supervisor; Contribute to managing the service's performance by using tools such as daily operations control, efficiency and productivity measurements, reports on returns to the workshop, warranty reports, telephone or email surveys, and monthly forecasts; Supervise the condition of the workshop, including cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition; Ensure good maintenance, storage, and inventory of special tools; Stay aware of federal, provincial, and municipal regulations related to occupational health and safety, maintenance work, including the disposal of hazardous waste, etc.

Qualifications: Management skills and workload distribution; Excellent mechanical expertise in automotive repair to support technicians; Leadership and ability to motivate a team (maintain quality, minimize returns, ensure productivity); Rigor and organizational skills (quality control, compliance with health and safety rules, management of tools and inventories).
