Pro-Mécanique Garage of the Gare, a workshop recognized for its expertise and team culture, is looking for an apprentice Mechanic / Technician. Based in Blainville, Quebec, our modern center offers a conducive environment for learning and professional development.
Job Description Under the supervision of an experienced mentor, you will participate in the entire process of vehicle maintenance and repairs, prioritizing quality, safety, and efficiency. You will develop your skills in diagnostics, disassembly-reassembly, and the use of diagnostic tools and software, while cultivating a customer-focused and results-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of light and utility vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and post-intervention testing.
- Use diagnostic tools and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation that complies with safety standards.
- Collaborate with the team to plan interventions and ensure deadlines.
- Document interventions and communicate relevant information to clients and the team.
Desired Profile
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role or equivalent practical training; apprentice status is accepted.
- Training in automotive technology or in progress, with willingness to learn and improve.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical basics, ability to read diagrams and use diagnostic tools.
- Good work ethic, team spirit, rigor, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work standing for long periods and handle tools and parts.
- Fluent French; technical English is an asset.
