Hawkesbury Ford, a Ford dealership in Hawkesbury, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our dynamic team. Join a local team dedicated to serving the counties of Champlain, Hawkesbury, Alfred, Plantagenêt, North Glengarry, and residents of Quebec who visit Hawkesbury.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Ford vehicles and other brands according to manufacturer standards and Hawkesbury Ford procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical and electrical repairs, replace parts, and conduct functional and road tests.
- Use computerized diagnostic tools and systems to identify faults and propose effective solutions.
- Read and interpret diagrams, technical manuals, and technical bulletins; document interventions accurately.
- Communicate with clients and the service team regarding necessary repairs, timelines, and estimated costs.
- Collaborate with technicians and parts personnel to ensure quick and quality service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment following safety and quality procedures.
- Participate in continuous training to stay updated on Ford repair technologies and practices for modern vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in automotive mechanics (diagnostics, maintenance, and repair).
- Degree or equivalent training in automotive mechanics (an asset).
- Ability to read technical diagrams and use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong team spirit, customer service orientation, and good communication skills.
- Valid driver's license; physical ability to work and handle parts and tools.
- Autonomy, organization, and effective time management skills.
- Fluency in French; English is an asset.
