Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our La Prairie Radial Tire Centre, a family workshop established on Taschereau Boulevard since 1947. Join a team proud of its know-how and commitment to customer satisfaction, and help maintain the Centre’s reputation for excellence in tire sales and installation, and in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, the transmission, the braking system and the vehicle powertrains.
- Perform maintenance recommended by the manufacturer and carry out emergency mechanical repairs.
- Install and balance tires, perform wheel alignment and ensure proper tuning/calibration of related systems.
- Work on hybrid and electric vehicles, adapting to modern tools and methods and staying up to date on emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with technical advisors to guide customers and propose the best solutions according to needs and budget.
- Keep the workshop clean and safe, and comply with internal procedures and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automotive mechanics or a related field.
- Relevant training in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work in a team and provide quality customer service.
- Knowledge of tools and electronic diagnostics, ability to read technical diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license.
