Automobiles Etcetera, located in Mont-Royal, Quebec, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our premium service team. This role requires a minimum of five years hands-on automotive repair experience and the ability to thrive in a luxury, client-focused environment.
Role overview You will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on high-end and exotic vehicles within our 65,000-square-foot facility. Working in a truly distinguished setting that includes secure storage for luxury vehicles and concierge-style services, you will uphold our standards of excellence, discretion, and meticulous workmanship. You will collaborate closely with service and client-relations teams to deliver a seamless, superior experience for private-club members and international clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on luxury, high-performance, and exotic vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and routine inspections with meticulous attention to detail.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes and implement durable solutions.
- Conduct quality control checks, test drives, and precise documentation of all service work.
- Collaborate with concierge, storage, and service teams to ensure an exceptional, discreet client experience.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop; adhere to safety, environmental, and confidentiality standards.
- Communicate clearly with clients about findings, recommended services, and timelines, while upholding the privacy expectations of our members.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving vehicle technologies and brand-specific procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years of hands-on experience as a professional automotive mechanic/technician.
- Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with modern repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working with luxury, high-performance, or exotic vehicles is highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE or equivalent) are desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of engine, transmission, suspension, braking, and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and customer-service orientation; ability to interact professionally with private-club members.
- Bilingual (English and French) preferred; otherwise strong English communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to accommodate occasional varying hours as needed.
