Mazda Pointe-aux-Trembles, a dealership of the GENX Automobile group, is looking for a Mechanic / Technician - Journeyman to join its dynamic team. This position dedicated to learning and professional development is aimed at a motivated individual eager to enhance their technical skills in a modern and structured environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles according to OEM standards and internal procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance, routine mechanical and electrical repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electronics, diagnostics with specialized tools).
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and operational procedures.
- Ensure quality and meet deadlines while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and the after-sales team.
- Accurately document interventions, complete work orders, and track used parts.
- Adhere to safety rules, hygiene standards, and internal policies.
Profile / Qualifications
- DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent training in progress, with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role considered an asset (apprentice accepted).
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and diagnostics, ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Good understanding of technical diagrams and repair procedures.
- Team spirit, customer service orientation, and willingness to learn.
- Fluent in French; technical English is an asset.
- Valid driver's license.
- Availability for flexible hours and summer schedule.
