Confidential — Opportunity for Mechanic / Technician (One-year contract) — Based in Montreal, Quebec.
Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Mechanic / Technician to work on modern vehicles in a constantly evolving workshop. The selected candidate will join a team of experts and actively participate in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in mechanical, electrical, and electronic aspects.
- Perform preventive maintenance and regular inspections according to manufacturer standards and internal procedures.
- Conduct functional tests and diagnostic trials using specialized tools and management software.
- Read and interpret diagrams, technical manuals, and error codes; document interventions accurately.
- Comply with safety, quality standards, and service deadlines; contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with after-sales and technical support colleagues; share knowledge and train new staff when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment; monitor stock levels of parts and tools.
Desired Profile:
- DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent diploma; minimum of one year experience in a workshop, dealership, or automotive service center.
- Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing engine systems, transmission, braking, suspension, and embedded electronics.
- Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and documentation; knowledge of diagnostic tools and related software.
- Good organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail; ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and team spirit; customer service mindset.
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 in Quebec); availability for a one-year contract.
- Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.
