Job Description
Gabriel Harley-Davidson & BMW Montréal is seeking a motivated Mechanic / Technician to join our service team in Montréal, Québec. With at least 1 year of hands-on experience, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain Harley-Davidson motorcycles to the highest standards, delivering exceptional service to our customers.
What you will do
- Diagnose and repair Harley-Davidson or BMW motorcycles, including engines, fuel and exhaust systems, electrical/electronic systems, brakes, suspension, and tires.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, battery checks, brake inspections, and wheel/tire service.
- Use OEM service manuals and diagnostic tools to identify issues and implement effective repairs.
- Conduct test rides and post-service quality checks to ensure peak performance and safety.
- Provide accurate repair estimates, communicate findings and options to customers, and document all work in the service system.
- Coordinate with parts and service teams to obtain required components and ensure timely turnaround.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop; adhere to safety policies and warranty procedures.
- Stay current with Harley-Davidson service bulletins and participate in ongoing training.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 year of hands-on experience as a motorcycle mechanic or automotive technician.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with solid diagnostic skills; familiarity with Harley-Davidson or BMW motorcycles is a plus.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, hand tools, torque wrenches, and reading technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; bilingual French/English is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to lift heavy parts and work in a physical shop environment.
- Team player who is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Post-secondary certification in Motorcycle Technology or Automotive Technology is a plus.
