Job description
Desjardins Auto Collection, based in Quebec City, Quebec, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join its workshop dedicated to collectible vehicles. You will work in a challenging technical environment where accuracy and quality of work are paramount.
Job Type: Mechanic / Technician — 3 years of experience required
Job Description
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on collectible vehicles and modern models.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and software; propose and implement effective solutions.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service reports.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, planned repairs, and final inspections to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with other technicians and the sales team to prepare vehicles for sale or customer use.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and workshop work standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics or related field.
- Technical diploma (DEP) in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; experience with computer-assisted diagnostics and OBD-II tools is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics and work with precision and rigor.
- Good analytical skills, time management, and the ability to solve problems independently and within a team.
- Valid driver's license; availability to work as needed operationally.
- Interest and commitment to collectible vehicles and work focused on quality and detail.
