Kia St-Hyacinthe is looking for a dedicated Mechanic / Technician to join our service team in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced dealership environment, focused on precise diagnostics, quality repairs, and delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Kia vehicles and other makes as needed with accuracy and efficiency
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance, component replacements, brake service, engine work, suspension, and drivability repairs
- Road-test vehicles to verify the quality of repairs and document results
- Communicate findings, options, and timelines clearly to customers and Service Advisors
- Maintain detailed service records, follow warranty procedures, and ensure proper part usage
- Adhere to safety standards, dealership policies, and quality control procedures
- Collaborate with team members to achieve service targets and maintain workshop organization
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive mechanic/technician experience
- Relevant trade certification or journeyman status; ASE or equivalent certifications are a plus
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with proficiency in modern vehicle systems
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving record
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred for effective communication with customers and colleagues
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and customer-service orientation
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skills development
