Job Description Valleyfield Nissan is seeking an experienced Automobile Mechanic / Technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience and a passion for maintenance and repair of new and used vehicles. You will work on Nissan vehicles as well as other brands, ensuring accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and reliable service for our customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles according to manufacturer standards and safety requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance operations, adjustments, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to identify faults and propose effective solutions.
- Prepare vehicles for inspections and road tests after interventions.
- Accurately document interventions in the repair management system and communicate clearly with the team and customers.
- Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality service.
- Adhere to safety procedures and current environmental standards.
Desired Profile
- Automotive mechanic diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience.
- Good knowledge of diagnostic systems and modern diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of modern vehicles, including electrical and electronic systems.
- Valid driver's license (Class 5 in Quebec).
- Ability to work as part of a team, strong customer service skills, and capacity to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Proficiency in French; English is an asset.
