About the role
Location: Sicamous, BC V0E 2V1
Salary: 36.70 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, To be determined
Starts as soon as possible
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Remote or mobile
Work conditions: Dusty, Dirty
Responsibilities
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Review work orders
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment; standing for extended periods
- Personal suitability: Accurate, Reliability, Punctuality
