Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Workshop Manager who wishes to build a solid career in the automotive industry. This person will ensure that repairs are properly and efficiently carried out by qualified technicians. They will also ensure that after-sales service maintains a high level of customer satisfaction at all times.
Main Responsibilities:
- Understand warranty terms and manufacturer's policies and ensure compliance;
- Ensure that all repairs are assigned to technicians fairly and equitably;
- Provide technical support to technicians when needed;
- Ensure that repairs are billed correctly;
- Monitor the progress of each repair throughout the day;
- Maintain high-quality repair service and minimize returns to the workshop;
- Conduct periodic inspections of work performed to control thoroughness and quality;
- Perform road tests of vehicles to verify the quality of the work carried out;
- Participate in handling customer complaints in collaboration with their supervisor;
- Contribute to managing service performance using tools such as daily operations control, efficiency and productivity monitoring, reports on workshop returns, warranty reports, telephone or email surveys, and monthly forecasts;
- Oversee the condition of the workshop, including cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition;
- Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and inventory of special tools;
- Stay informed about federal, provincial, and municipal regulations affecting occupational health and safety, maintenance tasks, hazardous waste disposal, etc.
Qualifications:
- Skills in work management and distribution
- Experience with SERTI
- Excellent technical skills in automotive mechanics to support technicians
- Leadership and ability to motivate a team (maintaining quality, minimizing returns, ensuring productivity)
- Rigor and organizational skills (quality control, compliance with health and safety rules, management of tools and inventories)
