The HGrégoire Group is seeking a General Director for its long-term car rental division. Reporting directly to senior management, this individual will be responsible for overseeing all division operations and ensuring its profitability and competitiveness. To achieve this, the person must leverage their market knowledge as well as their operational and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish the mission and short-, medium-, and long-term objectives in collaboration with the president;
• Develop and implement the division's strategic vision;
• Lead and approve all projects and operational procedures of the company in accordance with established policies and with the president’s approval;
• Ensure operational performance and the financial stability of the rental division’s structure;
• Analyze operational results, compare them to set objectives, and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results;
• Plan operations for the upcoming year and submit the plan to the president for approval;
• Ensure that monthly financial statements are complete, accurate, and submitted on time;
• Oversee the hiring, training, and management of staff;
• Implement effective and functional work procedures aligned with the company's philosophy and objectives;
• Ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction;
• Develop and implement monthly and annual marketing budgets in collaboration with the marketing department;
• Identify new growth opportunities in the car rental market;
• Perform all other related tasks.

Candidate Profile

• University degree in management/business administration or any other relevant academic training;
• Significant management experience in the car rental sector (mandatory);
• Excellent understanding of automotive financing models;
• Experience in the vehicle rental industry;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage tasks;
• Strong leadership, financial management, and strategic development skills;
• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, at an intermediate-advanced level, to meet the needs of our French-speaking clients and our large monolingual English-speaking clientele;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
