Job description

As a Mechanic/Technician, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performing accurate diagnostics and repairs on certified used vehicles, ensuring the quality and safety of the automobiles.
  • Conducting periodic checks and tune-ups to ensure the proper functioning of the vehicles.
  • Working closely with the team to maintain high standards of quality and customer service.
  • Meeting deadlines and ensuring productivity while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a mechanic or automotive technician.
  • Certification in automotive mechanics or a relevant degree would be an asset.
  • The ability to work independently while being a team player.
  • A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to service excellence.

To perform the following tasks
  • Perform repair work on cars
  • Use specialized tools such as vehicle scanners, multimeters, and oscilloscopes to diagnose electrical and electronic issues in vehicles
  • Test electrical circuits, sensors, actuators, and electronic modules to determine the source of malfunctions and breakdowns
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems, such as regular battery and electrical connection checks
  • Update software and systems
  • Carefully document the diagnostics performed, repairs made, and parts used
  • Identify vehicle defects based on customer complaints and personal inspections
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary components
  • Keep and label parts if the work is under warranty or if requested by the customer
  • Inspect the assigned vehicle to determine if additional safety and maintenance work is needed
  • Inspect and test newly delivered vehicles on the road to detect obvious damage or missing elements and evaluate driving functions
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
  • Conduct a road test with the vehicle, if necessary
  • Ensure customer cars are clean and promptly inform the service advisor of any incidents that may change the appearance or condition of a vehicle
  • Perform any other related tasks
