We are looking for an SAAQ Inspector in heavy vehicle mechanics to join our dynamic team at Gagnon Mechanical Center Inc. You will have the crucial responsibility of ensuring the compliance of heavy vehicles with the standards set by the SAAQ. As an agent, you will play a key role in the inspection process and contribute to road safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete inspections of heavy vehicles to verify their compliance with safety standards.
- Assess the mechanical condition of vehicles, identifying defects and recommending necessary repairs.
- Write clear and detailed inspection reports, documenting results and observations.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure a clear understanding of repairs needed following inspections.
- Stay informed of the latest regulations and standards in the automotive industry and those set by the SAAQ.
- Provide exceptional customer service while offering informed advice to clients regarding maintenance and repairs.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of heavy vehicles.
- SAAQ inspector certification, or ability to obtain it quickly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of customer service.
