In April 1977, the automotive dealership Chambly Toyota experienced its modest beginnings in a small garage located at 1219 Périgny Boulevard in Chambly. At that time, the Chambly Toyota team consisted of less than one-tenth of what it represents today. It started with 4 employees and would later count 7 more when Chambly Toyota made its very first move in 1985.

The new premises were ultra-modern and provided the dealership with a space of 12,000 square feet to pursue its growth. Very quickly, the company had a total of 19 employees. In 1986, Chambly Toyota doubled the size of its facilities, which were then valued at 24,000 square feet. This space allowed for the new body shop and offered a conducive setting for the reorganization of the service department. At that time, the staff numbered 26 employees.

Between 1986 and 1998, the dealership's growth continued under the leadership of its founder, Mr. Robert Mercil, scrupulously supported by his team, which was now estimated to be 50 employees. The climate was conducive to new investments, and an ambitious project was taking root.

In 1997, the Chambly Toyota dealership began negotiations with Toyota Canada. This significant effort culminated in the same year with the conclusion of an agreement for the launch of the first Sales and Services satellite of Toyota Canada. In 1998, the Chambly Toyota Saint-Basile Sales and Services satellite was established, and 13 new employees joined the already existing team. Chambly Toyota achieved a Canadian first in Quebec!

In 2001, the showroom and service area in Carignan were renewed to comply with the manufacturer's new image. The Chambly Toyota garage continued to expand, and an additional work area of 1,500 square feet was created for the body shop.

Chambly Toyota's history of continuous growth has been bolstered by major investments. This trend continues as the dealership has now moved to 7875 Chemin de Chambly in St-Hubert. This ambitious project of over 45,300 square feet was meticulously designed to meet the comfort needs of both the clientele and the employees of Chambly Toyota.

Finally, in 2015, the owner of Chambly Toyota changed the dealership’s name to St-Hubert Toyota. To better locate the establishment and eliminate any confusion, the dealership now sports a new name but offers the same privileged service and its 38 years of experience.
