A “Day in the Life” of a 310T Mechanic at GFL Environmental
Responsibilities
- Safely operate, repair, and maintain our diverse fleet, including Hydro-vacs, dry vacs, tankers, vac trucks, roll-offs, box trucks, pickups, flat deck trailers, and more.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and assist in coordinating repair schedules.
- Respond to service calls and emergencies in the field, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
- Support new employee training and stay updated on the latest technology and techniques in the industry.
Requirements
- Skilled Trades Ontario registration as a Journeyperson with a 310T license and minimum one year of experience.
- Ability to meet safety standards and operate diagnostic software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.
