About the role
As a 310t Mechanic, your priority is ensuring the safety of drivers and the quality of service to the community. Responsibilities include:
- Performing repairs, inspections, safety checks, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel vehicles.
- Utilizing vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes and adjust Engine and Vehicle Control modules.
- Responding to road calls for emergency repairs.
- Reviewing, completing, or assigning repairs identified on driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Completing required paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
- Test driving trucks after services and repairs.
- Assisting other team members with repairs as needed.
- Maintaining professional and courteous interactions with drivers.
- Adhering to all SAFETY standards outlined by the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment, and Waste Connections of Canada.
- Performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed 310T Mechanic.
- Proficiency with various diesel vehicle diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance, and repair.
- Basic tool set.
- Heavy Equipment (Yellow Iron) knowledge is an asset.
- Hydraulic experience is a plus.
- Must pass all pre-employment requirements.

- Rotating shifts: starting at 5 AM until 2:30 PM, or 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM (rotation every 2 weeks).
