About the role
310T Truck Mechanic
Location: North York, ability to travel between sites
Shift:
- Day Shift (Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 3:30pm; Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm)
- Afternoon Shift (Monday to Thursday 2:30pm to 12:00am; Friday 12:00pm to 9:00pm)
Expected Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 Range The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate's experience, education, training, and alignment with the role's requirements.

Here's what we do... Combined Metal Industries (CMI for short!) sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!
Responsibilities
- Maintain company trucks/trailers
- Perform preventative maintenance and CVI inspections on trucks/trailers
- Perform scheduled repairs on trucks/trailers
- Ensure running repairs are performed on trucks/trailers as per pre/post inspections
- Repair forklifts, skid steers and cranes where possible
- Complete all required paperwork as per legislative requirements
- Maintain inventory of parts and order as required
- Support drivers and machine/equipment operators with technical knowledge
Requirements
- 310 Truck and Coach Technician Certification
- Minimum 2- 3 years of previous experience
- Strong English communications skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated
- Ability to perform in all types of weather
- Ability to perform a physical demanding job

- Location: Steeles & Weston Road in North York – a 15-20-minute bus ride from Pioneer Village Subway Station in North York and an 8–10-minute bus ride from Highway 407 Subway Station in Vaughan
