Job description

We are recruiting an Assistant Parts Manager for Joliette Volkswagen, the Group St-Jean dealership located in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies. As part of one of the region's most dynamic families of companies, you will join a close-knit local team focused on service excellence and long-term growth.

Your role

  • Oversee and support the Parts Director in the daily management of the department, ensuring an exceptional and efficient customer experience.
  • Manage the parts and accessories inventory: optimize levels, ensure stock turnover, plan orders and reduce variances.
  • Collaborate closely with the Parts, Sales and Service departments to optimize sales and delivery times.
  • Supervise, train and motivate the Parts department team; establish schedules and ensure compliance with operating and safety procedures.
  • Monitor performance indicators (service level, margin, inventory turnover, order processing time) and propose areas for improvement.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a competitive and reliable offering.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of promotions and pricing policies for parts and accessories.
  • Ensure compliance with return, warranty and defective parts handling procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience in a similar role, ideally in parts management at an automobile dealership (a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills, leadership and a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in parts management systems and IT tools; analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data to make decisions.
  • Strong French communication skills; English is an asset.
  • Integrity, teamwork and results orientation.
  • Relevant degree (technical, business, management) preferred but not required.
