About the role

Up to a $10,000 signing bonus for the right candidate. Performance Ford is seeking individuals interested in the role of Automotive 310S Licensed Technician. Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Service Technician will primarily conduct diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements and provide accurate repairs for customers’ vehicles. This is a unionized position.

Responsibilities

• Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Communicate immediately with the service advisor if additional work is needed, if outlined work is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order, including diagnostic trouble codes and cause and correction.
• Road-test vehicles when required and reference job aid forms to qualify complaints.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Review manufacturer recall bulletins and ensure all steps are followed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Ensure that all Xtime KPIs are achieved as directed by the management team.

Requirements

• 310S Licensed Service Technician.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Ability to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Windsor, ON N8W 5W2 (preferred).
• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred).
• 1 year of automotive technician experience (required).
• Driver’s License (required).
• 310S License (required).
• Work location: In person.
