Job Description
Automotive Service Technician at Canadian Tire, 255 - 277 Broadway St E, Yorkton, SK S3N 3G7. Permanent, full-time, on-site employment in the automotive industry. End Post Date: October 30, 2026. Salary: $ 30.00 to $ 35.00 HOUR hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per week. Work hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.

- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.

- Road test motor vehicles.
- Test automotive systems and components.

- Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service.

- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Provide customer service.
Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
- Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification; Tire, wheel and rim mechanic; Motor Vehicle Repairer (Service Station Mechanic) Trade Certification; Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Area of specialization: Engine repair; diagnostics; alignment, steering and suspension; brake system; ignition and electrical system; automatic transmission; standard transmission; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system.
- Security and safety: Criminal record check; driving record check (abstract).
- Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence; drive manual transmission vehicle.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment; hand-eye co-ordination; attention to detail; standing for extended periods.
- Own tools/equipment: Tools; steel-toed safety boots.
- Personal suitability: Accurate; client focus; dependability; excellent oral communication; excellent written communication; flexibility; judgement; reliability; team player; punctuality.
