Positions and Shifts: Day Shift (Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm).
Responsibilities
- Set‑up and operate CNC turning centres with live tooling.
- Use appropriate tools, fixtures and indicators to set up the machine.
- Load, unload, change and modify programs as required.
- Change and set cutting tools.
- Modify and grind tools as required.
- Adjust feeds and speeds for maximum efficiency.
- Operate the machine with all safety precautions in place.
- Deburr and prepare parts for loading and after unloading.
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance.
- Read and interpret blue prints.
- Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Experience: Experience an asset. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. …
- 5+ years' experience required.
- Certificate, college degree or other training in CNC turning an asset.
- Fanuc or Haas experience a must.
- Familiarity with Mastercam preferred.
- Previous aerospace experience preferred.
- Previous jobbing shop experience preferred.
Ben Machine is registered under the Controlled Goods Regulations of the Defence Act.
