Lapointe Sports Joliette, a proud member of the Groupe St-Jean and a key player in the region, is seeking a Director of Financial Services (F&I). He/She will work within a family-owned group that values local roots, operational excellence, and talent development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the Financial Services and F&I departments, ensuring the efficiency of financing and insurance processes for customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at optimizing margins, financing rates, and F&I performance indicators.
  • Supervise the financial teams, ensure their training, development, and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Work closely with the sales and after-sales service teams to provide a consistent customer experience and exemplary service.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and governance of F&I files, including contract management, audits, and internal controls.
  • Establish solid relationships with financial partners and insurers, negotiate terms, and optimize administrative processes.
  • Actively participate in developing operational procedures and in the continuous improvement of financing and insurance practices.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience required in a similar role or in the F&I field (financing and insurance), ideally in the automotive sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Analytical mindset, results-oriented, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer tools (CRM and financial software); ability to manage large volumes of data and produce clear reports.
  • Demonstrated leadership, with a developmental/mentoring approach and the ability to develop the team's skills.

To perform the following tasks

Business development
Customer follow-up
Deal with the financing and leasing of vehicles according to the standards of financial institutions
Delivery of documentation and signatures
Effectively complete sales and rental forms
Ensure that financing and insurance fees are collected
Obtain and verify credit applications.
Payment manipulation during transactions
Revise the sales contracts
Take down payments and issue receipts.
