About the role
Diagnose and repair vehicle systems at Plaza Nissan in Hamilton, using specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and OEM standards full-time.
This Journeyman Automotive Technician role supports vehicle security, functionality, safety, and reliability. You will perform maintenance, inspect critical components, document repairs, and communicate with Parts and Service Advisors. Mentoring apprentices and maintaining an efficient work environment are also included.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance according to repair orders
- Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend necessary repairs
- Document completed work consistently with OEM standards
- Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors about repairs
Requirements
- Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate completed or in process
- Strong knowledge of various makes and models
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history
