The Licensed Automotive Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, and scheduled tune-ups.
- Identify mechanical and electrical issues, recommend repair options, and complete work in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Communicate with service advisors and customers about vehicle conditions, repair timelines, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, use proper tools and equipment, and follow all workplace health and safety policies.
Requirements
- Strong skills in vehicle maintenance and repair for a range of makes and models.
- Proficiency in automotive repair and general automotive systems, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, respectful language.
- Valid automotive mechanic license or certification recognized in Ontario (e.g., 310S), with a solid record of hands-on shop experience.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, shop procedures, and proper use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple work orders.
- Comfort with test-driving vehicles as required.
- Availability for full-time, on-site work and willingness to participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards.
- Must be fluent in English.
