Job Description
Trans East Trailers is a commercial trailer sales, service parts and rentals company with quickly growing parts and service departments. We are currently looking for 310J and 310T Mechanics. All experience levels are welcome to apply. Pay rate is dependent on experience.
About the role
The qualified person will work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to learn when needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical work on commercial trailers.
- Ensure quality of work.
- Maintain orderly and clean working habits.
- Report nonconforming situations.
- Read and understand work orders given by the shop manager.
- Report the progress of each job to the shop manager.
- Work with the Parts desk to obtain necessary material for repairs.
- Take on other projects and duties as assigned by the shop manager.
- Work with the Sales Team when needed to discuss repairs.
Requirements
- Commercial trailer mechanics at all levels of experience.
- Someone who is a self-starter and requires minimal oversight.
- Someone with strong communication skills.
- A team player.
- Knowledge of ABS diagnostic equipment would be helpful.
- A mechanic license is an asset.
