About the role
Fountain Tire Vancouver (Marine Drive) is looking for a skilled Red Seal Automotive Service Technician to join our team! If you are an experienced Technician who thrives in a fun, friendly, high efficiency shop, this is the place for you!

Responsibilities
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
- Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
- Completing approved service on customer vehicles
- Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
- Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
- Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
- Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
- Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
- Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
Requirements
- Must be a Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade
- 10+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician
- Must have commercial vehicle inspector license to complete out of province inspections
- Ability to work Saturdays as required
- Proficiency in welding/fabricating is an asset
- Strong electrical diagnostic ability preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service
- Diagnostic specialist comfortable with modern technology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract annually from province of residence
