Job description

Under the supervision of the Sales Director/Assistant Sales Director, the product specialist will play an essential role in promoting and selling motor vehicles to customers. They will be responsible for guiding customers throughout the purchasing process, answering their questions and providing them with detailed information about the vehicles.

Main duties

  • Greet the customer, establish a relationship of trust and demonstrate a serious commitment to customer satisfaction;
  • Help customers choose a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their answers in order to accurately identify their needs;
  • Explain to potential customers the performance of the products, how they work and their advantages in the showroom or by email;
  • Describe any optional equipment that the customer could purchase;
  • Offer road tests to any potential customer and ensure that appropriate identification is obtained before the test drive, according to the policies in place;
  • Explain the terms related to long-term leasing versus traditional purchase based on the customer's needs;
  • Obtain the required information and complete all documents necessary to prepare a sale or lease;
  • Keep up to date on new products (features, accessories, etc.) and their benefits for customers;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (DES) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role OR Automotive sales certificate with 1 year of sales experience OR Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) in sales consulting;
  • Bilingualism;
  • Valid driver's license.
