Job Description

Saint-Laurent Hyundai, a dynamic dealership located in Montreal, is seeking a Sales Manager – Used Vehicles. Reporting to the General Sales Manager of used cars, you will lead a high-performing team and be responsible for achieving sales targets, optimizing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the commercial strategy for used vehicles in alignment with the overall company objectives.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the sales team; set individual and team goals and foster talent development.
  • Manage certified used vehicle inventory, optimize pricing and promotions to maximize margins and volume.
  • Oversee financing and warranty processes in collaboration with the finance department to offer competitive and transparent solutions.
  • Ensure an exceptional and consistent customer experience, from the first contact to delivery and after-sales service.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as monthly sales, conversion rate, average sale value, and customer satisfaction; optimize inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with marketing, after-sales, and purchasing departments to synchronize campaigns, promotions, and stock management.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, internal policies, and ethical and compliant sales practices.

Profile Sought

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automotive sales management, ideally in the used vehicle sector and at a managerial level.
  • Proven leadership ability, capacity to motivate and develop a high-performing team; results-oriented.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills; conflict management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of automotive financing processes, insurance, warranties, and CRM/ERP tools.
  • Analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions; aptitude for managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Fluency in French; functional English preferred; knowledge of the Montreal market and ability to interact with a diverse clientele.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, team-oriented, and capable of thriving in a service-focused environment.
