Job Description As part of a confidential recruitment for a major player in the automotive industry, based in Longueuil, Quebec, we are looking for a Technical Advisor to support customers and technical teams in understanding and resolving technical issues related to vehicles and after-sales service solutions. This role serves as a link between customer service, technicians, and manufacturing partners, with a strong consultative and preventive maintenance focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist customers in understanding technical problems and service needs.
  • Diagnose potential causes of breakdowns by relying on error codes, diagrams, manufacturer documentation, and technicians’ feedback.
  • Advise on maintenance solutions, appropriate parts and equipment, ensuring compliance with warranty policies and internal procedures.
  • Prepare and communicate clear technical recommendations, quotes, and intervention plans in coordination with technicians and suppliers.
  • Coordinate interventions with service teams and ensure case follow-up in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Document interactions and diagnostics in management systems (CRM and technical databases), ensuring traceability of information.
  • Participate in training and knowledge transfer with colleagues on product updates, procedures, and diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of safety standards, manufacturer procedures, and warranty policies.
  • Propose process improvements and share customer feedback to optimize offerings and services.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • No experience required; ideal for entry-level candidates seeking to progress in the automotive field.
  • Relevant diploma (DEC in Automotive Technology, DEP in Automotive Mechanics, or equivalent) or equivalent technical training; practical experience considered.
  • General knowledge of mechanical and electrical automotive systems; ability to read diagrams and interpret fault codes.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and customer service skills; capacity to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Team spirit, organizational skills, and ability to coordinate with technicians and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in French; functional English preferred; bilingualism considered an asset.
  • Mastery of common IT tools (Office suite), CRM systems, and parts management software; ability to quickly learn manufacturer databases.
  • Valid driver’s license; availability for flexible hours and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Solution-oriented attitude, technical curiosity, and ability to work independently while respecting processes.
