Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Used Vehicle Sales Leader for our high-volume dealership in Brossard.
Role Description Lead and optimize the sales activities of used vehicles within a high-performing sales team. You will report to the Sales Director and drive the achievement of sales targets while ensuring an exceptional customer experience, rigorous inventory management, and sustainable profitability. You will be responsible for developing the customer portfolio, coaching the team, and coordinating with the finance, insurance, and marketing teams to ensure a competitive offering that complies with company standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and achieve sales goals for the used vehicle segment; ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Supervise, train, and motivate the sales team; plan activities, monitor performance, and implement development plans.
- Manage the used vehicle inventory, optimize turnover, and maximize margins in collaboration with the inventory team and marketing department.
- Oversee the entire sales process (prospecting, demonstrations, test drives, negotiations, delivery, and handover) to ensure a smooth and professional customer experience.
- Collaborate with finance and insurance services to facilitate financing solutions and additional services.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce regular reports; suggest corrective or improvement actions.
- Ensure compliance with local and provincial laws, including consumer protection and auto financing regulations.
- Work closely with marketing and operational support to optimize customer acquisition and retention.
- Develop lasting customer relationships, promote cross-selling, and encourage referrals.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in administration, business, marketing, or equivalent; experience in the automotive sector preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in roles related to vehicle sales, ideally in used vehicle sales or sales supervision.
- Proven leadership skills, team management, and talent development; results-oriented with strong customer service focus.
- Excellent communication skills in French; ability to work in English is an asset.
- Proficiency with CRM and DMS tools, Microsoft Office suite; analytical mindset and ability to interpret KPIs to inform decisions.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, and manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of consumer protection and auto financing regulations is an asset.
