Fixed Operations Manager

Fortier Ford, a new dealership of the GENX automotive group located in Montreal-Est, is seeking an experienced Fixed Operations Manager to oversee service, parts, and workshop activities and ensure an excellent customer experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supervise and optimize all fixed operations (service, parts, workshop, warranty, and administrative support) to ensure operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Define and implement procedures and operational standards that promote customer satisfaction, work quality, and workplace safety.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to coverage rate, cycle time, workshop productivity, parts management, and operational margin.
• Manage the fixed operations budget, operational costs, forecasts, and collaborate with management on strategic planning.
• Lead, train, and develop service, parts, and workshop teams; recruitment, talent retention, training pathways, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Marketing departments as well as manufacturers to ensure smooth integration and strong relationships.
• Oversee customer service policies and safety practices; ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage parts inventory and supply, optimize flow management and repair and maintenance processes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the dealership.
• Actively participate in the development and execution of local operational strategy and in positioning Fortier Ford within the GENX network.

Profile Sought

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed operations or in an operational management role within an automotive dealership.
• Proven leadership, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills; ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Customer and results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and change management ability.
• Knowledge of service, parts, and warranty processes; familiarity with workshop management systems and performance metrics would be an asset.
• Adaptability, rigor, and organizational skills in a dynamic and service-oriented environment.
