Job Description
Ford St-Basile, a Ford dealership located in Saint-Basile-le-Grand, is seeking a Fixed Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our after-sales and parts activities, and to support the overall operational performance of the department.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise the Service, Parts, and Workshop departments to ensure operational efficiency, quality of service, and an exceptional customer experience.
- Define and manage the fixed operations budget, sales and parts forecasts, cost control, and inventory management.
- Implement operational standards, processes, and tools to improve productivity, repair turnaround times, and reliability.
- Lead, motivate, and develop teams (technicians, reception, and administrative support); recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and development plans.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer satisfaction, repair cycle time, rework rate, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards; promote a safety culture and risk prevention.
- Collaborate with sales and other departments to optimize the customer experience and opportunities in services and parts.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S) and ensure the deployment of operational projects.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers; optimize inventory and ordering processes.
- Plan and monitor human and material resources necessary for the availability and performance of fixed operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management in an automotive dealership environment, ideally covering service, parts, and workshop.
- Knowledge of automotive management systems and service and parts processes; understanding of performance indicators.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; customer-focused and team-oriented.
- Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bilingual French-English preferred; strong customer service orientation and team spirit.
- Availability for variable hours and local mobility.
