Job Description
The Sales Director is responsible for the department’s profitability. They fulfill this responsibility by effectively managing their staff, demonstrating knowledge of the potential market and established performance standards, and maintaining a strong focus on break-even points.
You will be responsible for closely monitoring:
- Deals, manager turnovers (T.O.), and deal closings
- New and pre-owned vehicle sales
- Inventory
- The CRM for all customers (walk-ins, phone inquiries, etc.)
- The BDC department’s performance on incoming leads
- The smooth delivery process and customer survey results
You will be required to:
- Conduct performance reviews of your staff at regular intervals
- Train and motivate your staff, and encourage teamwork in a customer-focused environment throughout the sales, delivery, and follow-up process
- Work with precise performance metrics to know how your sales, finance, and delivery departments are performing at all times
- Appraise pre-owned vehicles and ensure that ownership documents are in order
- Have an excellent knowledge of your programs in order to increase gross profit on new vehicles and after-sales product penetration (finance and insurance)
- Control and oversee lease renewal activities
Requirements and desired skills:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Sales Director position
